Quindiem has played a pioneering role over many years in modelling HIV and its associated financial impacts on insurance products and risk pools for major insurers and reinsurers in South Africa, low income social groups, and employee workforces in diverse industries including local government, retail, financial services, food and beverages and manufacturing.

Our proprietary in-house HIV & AIDS model qAIDS is a state of the art tool for modelling the demographic and financial impacts of the epidemic. qAIDS and has been used to design and price insurance products, guide company strategy on HIV & AIDS interventions, estimate workforce prevalence rates and the associated direct and indirect costs thereof.

Quindiem's current managing director, Dominic Liber was the Convenor of the AIDS Committee of the Actuarial Society of South Africa from 2006 to 2007 where he was involved in guiding the professions response to the epidemic and setting professional standards for AIDS-related work.
