The Quindiem life practice offers a comprehensive range of life insurance related services to a wide variety of clients. Our technical expertise encompasses all actuarial aspects of a life insurer's operations. We have a strong focus on adding value to our clients' business by providing solutions to complex business problems. Our services often extend to strategic support as opposed to being limited to the operational aspects of our client's business. Our main service offerings are:

Our clients include local and international life insurance, reinsurance and micro-insurance companies, regulators, governments, micro finance institutions and donor organisations. We provide the statutory actuarial (valuation) function to a number of South African life insurers and have advised in due diligence exercises for South African and international global insurance groups wishing to enter various African markets. In addition, we assist both large and small insurers with their market entry strategies and provide comprehensive support to clients operating in Africa and the Middle East.

The life team comprises a group of diverse individuals, including both senior and junior resources. Our team members collectively specialise in various actuarial fields within the life insurance industry. In addition, a number of the members have experience in non-actuarial aspects of life insurance, which includes operational and management experience. Our team serves on various committees of the Actuarial Society of South Africa including the Life Assurance Committee, the AIDS Committee and the CSI Committee, the last of which is responsible for analysis of mortality and morbidity experience.
